VSAF is a VATSIM-based virtual squadron for pilots who want more than casual flying — real procedures, a full rank structure, and mission profiles modeled on actual military operations.
VSAF brings real operational discipline to virtual flying. Members progress through a defined rank structure, complete supervised training, and fly under full pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefs — every sortie follows ICAO procedure, published flight plans, and full coordination with VATSIM air traffic control.
ICAO standards, published flight plans, controlled slot times.
Cadet through Major General, based on evaluation, not time served.
Formation flying, briefings, and disciplined radio work on every mission.

A snapshot of our active pilots. VATSIM Special Operations policy requires this roster to stay public and show each member's VATSIM CID.
VSAF only processes member data for organizational, training, operational, and security purposes, exactly as set out in our public Privacy Policy. The information visitors need for transparency stays open — no login wall, no hidden pages.
Joining VSAF and using our systems means accepting the data handling described in that policy. The links below stay visible from the homepage at all times..
Per VATSIM Special Operations policy, we publish the restricted activities assigned to us below. This list reflects only what VSOD has actually approved for VSAF.
All members are assigned a callsign in the format VSAF-XXX, issued sequentially upon approval. A valid VATSIM CID is required to register.
Callsigns follow VATSIM Special Operations naming conventions: prefix identifies the organization, the number identifies the member. Applications are held as pending until reviewed by staff in the admin panel.
